General Information
Upholstery Fabrics
Upholstered products are priced in five price bands dependent upon
the price per metre of the chosen fabric:
COM This price applies where customers supply their own material,
delivered to Kirklands
A For fabrics costing up to £ 8.00 per metre
B For fabrics costing up to £10.25 per metre
C For fabrics costing up to £12.50 per metre
D For fabrics costing up to £16.00 per metre
For fabrics costing in excess of £16.00 per metre, please
call our sales office for a quotation.
Wood Colour
Where timber is polished, customers can choose from Kirklands standard
range of colours which include, natural beech, oak and cherry.
We are also happy to match as required for which (dependent upon
the volume) there may be a small charge.
Lacquers
Kirklands use a modern “high build” lacquer system
which provides a tough and durable finish. This meets or exceeds
BS6250 (for severe contract use).
High Seat Chair Heights
We manufacture our high seat chairs as standard with a seat height
of 18”, however we can also produce them with if required
with 16” or 20” seat heights without extra cost.
Delivery
Our standard delivery service is “tailboard” (transport
to site and unloaded into a near room). We are also happy to provide
a full room placement service, the additional cost of which will
be dependent upon the size of the order and its destination.
The cost of delivery is included within the price for all orders
over £500. For orders under £500, there will be a transport
surcharge of £15 per item.
Product Specification
Whilst Kirklands make every effort to ensure that product information
is accurate, we do reserve the right to change product specification
without prior notice.
VAT
All prices shown in the price list exclude VAT.
Volume Discounts
For large individual orders and/or for customers with a large total
annual spend, we would be pleased to discuss a discount from
our list price.
Terms & Conditions
- The following terms and conditions apply to all and any orders
placed with Kirkland Contracts Limited (from herein referred to
as 'Kirklands') and cannot be broken without the consent
of both parties in writing. In the event of an order being cancelled,
Kirklands will make a handling charge of 40% of the total order
value unless otherwise agreed.
- All goods supplied by Kirklands remain their property until they
are paid for in full. In the event of non payment, Kirklands reserve
the right to reposes the goods without prior notice and without prejudice
to their rights to take action through the courts for damages due
to breach of contract. Cheques are not regarded as payment until
they are cleared. The passing of title to the goods shall only pass
to the buyer when payment has been received in full. However, the
risk on any loss, damage or deterioration of the said goods shall
be the responsibility of the buyer at the point of delivery or collection.
- The buyer shall inspect the goods and within seven days give notice
in writing to the seller of any matter or things by reason whereof
he alleges that the goods are not in accordance with the specification
thereof. If the buyer fails to give such notice, the goods shall
be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract and
the buyer shall accept and pay for the same accordingly. The seller
may be at liberty to vary the specification provided this does not
materially alter the nature of the goods. Kirklands will replace
(or repair) free of charge any faulty goods provided they receive
notification of such faults within seven days of delivery.
- Whilst Kirklands undertake to do their upmost to execute every
order within the specified period, they cannot accept responsibility
for any failures or delay in performance of the contract if and so
long as such performance is prevented or hindered by circumstances
beyond Kirklands’ control, and the period of time mentioned
in this contract within which the buyer must pay for the goods shall
be the essence of this contract.
- Please note that all goods are subject to payment as per the agreed
terms. Kirklands reserve the right not to deliver the goods if payment
is not made in accordance with the agreed terms and charge in paragraph
one. All re-deliveries with be charged for.
- Unless otherwise agreed these conditions and the contract shall
be subject to and construed in English law.
- Payment terms are the 20th day of every month following the date
of our invoice. Delay in payment will have a direct consequence on
pending orders. Interest at a rate of 5% over bank of England base
rate will be charged on outstanding balances.
- Customers in mainland UK benefit from free tailboard deliveries
on orders over £500. Where the total invoice value of an order
is less than £500; a minimum order charge of £15 per
item will apply.
- A fabric surcharge will apply to orders where the metreage is
less than 4 metres (per individual range or colour) at a rate of £10
per item. Any deviation deemed by our suppliers other than mentioned
will be passed on as an additional cost to the buyer.
- Wood colour alternatives to Kirklands’ standard colours
will be charged at £25 per colour.
- Kirklands reserve the right to alter specification and or withdraw
models without prior notice.
- Whilst every effort has been made to reproduce colours and wood
finished as accurately as possible, their representation in any promotional
material should be relied upon as a guide only.
- Where customers supply their own material it is their responsibility
to maintain adequate insurance cover for their property. Whilst Kirklands
will take all reasonable care to ensure the safekeeping of customers
own material, we cannot accept the responsibility or liability for
said property.
